Getting a Great Hand Job Isn't Easy
The other day I was sitting here at my desk and thinking about my next career move. The stand up comedy scene has been down-along with the economy and my little state is tied with Michigan for the highest unemployment rate in the USA. It's depressing. So depressing in fact, that I sat here most of the weekend wishing that someone would give me a hand job. That would cheer me up.
I began investigating. Getting a hand job wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. After searching online for hours into the possibilities, I realized that even a lousy hand job wasn't going to be easy to get. People are picky when it comes to giving hand jobs. There is a great deal of politics involved. It's very difficult to find a decent hand job these days.
Hand Modeling is NOT an easy career to break into. I did find one site that explains how to go about it, but there is a lot involved. One must keep their hands in pristine condition. Manicures are mandatory and if you get a cut, a hangnail or break a finger, you are officially out of work. Most people will NOT want to give you a hand job under those conditions.
You might be surprised at the number of hand models in the world today. It's actually a pretty big business. Hand models work with many products. Skin creams and lotions, rings, watches, band-aids, wart removers, nail products, etc. The list goes on for miles.
There are a few different ways to go about getting a hand job. Here in the US for example, sometimes just asking for a hand job is the right approach. Other times, you might have to beg, barter or even pay for the opportunity,
When you find an agency willing to give you a hand job interview, you may want to ask yourself the following questions before walking in the door.
1.) Do I really want a hand job?
2.) Will I be successful in getting a hand job?
3.) What really is involved in getting a hand job?
4.) After my first hand job, will I be able to get more?
No, hand modeling is not an easy career to jump into, but if you've got a great pair of hands and you have the desire and passion for getting a really wonderful, satisfying hand job, I'm sure you won't have any problems.

Thanks Jim. Very nice of you to say. It was one of those thing that just popped into my head and I ran with it. I think I'm getting a high number of flags on this hub, though. I think the righteous sect of Hubbers don't believe I'm very funny.
Just out of interest rockinjoe, how can you tell if you are getting a great deal of flags on a hub? I know we have the option to flag a hub, but have never seen anywhere that you can look to see if your own hubs have been flagged. I must be missing something here ????
Hi Cindy. I'm just guessing. My hub was published at 50 and has been steadily declining through the day. Even with 92 pageviews and lots of comments, so far. There's a few on Hubpages I've heard who make a habit of flagging hubs they don't like or find not to be of their moral standards.
You could be right, but so far this does not seem to be too much of a problem for me as my similar hubs have climbed in score terms, although still not higher than the 80's.
That's just because you're prettier than I am....
I keep forgetting to rate the hubs I read. I wonder how much difference that makes if people just read and comment but don't rate it.
I'm not sure, Jim. I'm sure it must have something to do with the overall score or it wouldn't exist. How much of an impact it has is anyone's guess. I always try and remember to give a hub a thumbs up when I really like it, but there are times when I get caught up leaving a comment and forget.

If I really didn't like someone's hub, I wouldn't comment at all. I don't know what kind of pleasure he got out of posting it, but I didn't delete it. It will live there as long as this hub remains.
